Wagagai Center for Population Health & Sustainable Development Uganda (CPHS Uganda)

To advance population health and sustainable development by delivering community-centered programs, fostering innovation, and aligning our work with the Sustainable Development Goals — particularly good health and well-being (SDG 3), gender equality (SDG 5), reduced inequalities (SDG 10), and climate action (SDG 13).

For two years before formal registration, our founding team — health workers, communicators, and community advocates — organized health talks in churches, visited secondary schools with sexual and reproductive health information, appeared on radio and television to speak plainly about HIV, mental health, and adolescent health, and partnered with like-minded organizations to run public webinars. There was no budget. There was conviction: that credible health information, delivered with warmth and respect, changes what people do — and ultimately, how well they live.
